Jiggley/bouncy speedo? If so, it can probably be fixed very easily.

First separate the lower and upper speedometer cables. The connection is just above the fuel injectors.

Grab the tang sticking out of the upper cable casing and pull out the cable core.

Cable core being removed:

The cable core ready for re-lube:

However tempting it may be DO NOT attempt to squirt anything up the cable casing. It will end up in the speedometer head. The core is actually a very tightly wound spring.

Clean the old lubricant from the core with a solvent of some kind. Examine the core for shiny spots. That's where the cable was "dry" and causing the "jiggle". For lubricating, I use an engine assembly grease that's laced with graphite. Just about any light grease will work fine. Apply a thin coat to the entire length of the cable core.

Just slide the core back into the cable casing. You will see that the end that goes into the speedometer has been shaped into a square. You will probably need to turn the cable core a bit in order to seat it into the speedometer head.

Re-connect the two cables and you are finished. Unfortunately, you cannot do the same thing with the cable that goes to the transmission.
