As our Preludes get older, it's disheartening to check the OEM Honda web sites to see *Discontinued* by parts that you want to order. The power steering idler pulley is no exception. The OEM part number is: 56980-PK1-000, and the price (though discontinued) is about $55.00. Most aftermarket auto parts outlets do not carry the idle pulley, so we have to resort to creative methods.

I had a badly binding idler bearing that I removed from the pulley and got it sized. It turns out that a well sized 15mm I.D. X 42mm O.D. X 13mm Thickness bearing fits perfectly! All for the cost of $14.16. If you decide to go this route, all you have to do is to carefully have the bearing pressed back into the pulley! I hope this helps someone out there.
