Shaving PRELUDE From Rear 88/89 Tail Light

I did this to my recently acquired EDM center taillight with rear fogs. I felt that with the rear fogs, it looked a little crowded having the PRELUDE writing there along with the fogs and reverse lights.






I used 80, 220, 400, 600, and 1500 grit sandpaper. Also used Meguires Plastx buffing compound.

First I used the 80 grit to remove the entire PRELUDE writing, which was hard on the hands (since I don't have an electric sander).

Once it was gone, I gradually went from 220 to 400 to 600 to 1500. I wet sanded with the 1500 grit, then cleaned it, then used the buffing compound.



























Its super smooth, but not as shiny as my other taillight so I may spray a coat or 2 of clear coat to restore the shine.
